Disable Browser Caching Using Private Browsing

Most major browsers offer a private browsing mode of some sort. Using your browser’s private browsing mode is an easy way to start browsing with a fresh cache. In addition, anything that gets cached during your private browsing session will be cleared when you close the browser window.

Chrome

  1. Click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” button
  2. Click “New incognito window”

Firefox

  1. Click the “Open menu” button in the top right of the browser
  2. Click the “New Private Window” button

Safari

  1. Click “File”
  2. Click “New Private Window”

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the “Tools” button in the top right of the browser
  2. Hover over the “Safety” menu item
    1. Click “In Private Browsing”
